Configuring an E-Mail Client (cpanel)

You can access your e-mail via the web mail interface or via a popular e-mail client such as Microsoft Outlook.

  1. Within the control panel, cPanel, go to the e-mail accounts area.
  2. After clicking e-mail accounts, and assuming you already created one or more.  On the right hand side is a "MORE" drop down menu.  Click that.
  3. You can then click "Configure E-mail Client"
  4. You will then be presented some common e-mail applications to help you setup your client quickly.  Manual settings are also presented to you if you are a more advanced user or you have software not listed there.  (Parcom prefers you do it manually so you are more in control of what is going on, let alone see how this all works!)

Note: The e-mail accounts area is also where you can click an individual user and select "Mail Client Configuration" to obtain the direct manual server settings that can be utilized by popular phones like Android, Windows Phone, or iPhone.   The server name is best to utilize for secure mail access for POP or IMAP.
