With so many people transferring away from Godaddy to Parcom we figured we'd have some steps to help you!
Here are some steps:
1) Log into your Godaddy account and manage the domain you wish to transfer.
2) Make sure you UNLOCK the domain.
3) Update any contact information and make sure you have control over the email for administrative, technical, and billing contacts! That is crucial!
4) Get the Authorization code or what is called an EPP code. This allows you to transfer out of godaddy.
5) Sign up on Parcom via https://my.parcomweb.com and transfer the domain to us using the domain and code.
6) After payment, you will receive some emails to authorize the transfer first.
7) Godaddy will try their best to keep you with their email to authorize it. Their authorization tries to slow you down, so you have to go back to their interface and approve the transfer as per their instructions.
8) Parcom will send you a clean, and easy approval email to allow the transfer to take place too.
9) Wait a few minutes to an hour or so. Sometimes longer, but this is dependent on Godaddy as they are slow!!!! Parcom is FAST!
10) Once you get it all approved, you can now manage the domain instantly on our system! Change the name servers to ours and enjoy freedom and no more sales pitching, no more hidden fine print and games again. Your privacy is back and your domain is yours to use with no strings.
