Does Parcom Support Bulk Mail?

It is not wise to use your hosting account for large bulk mail purposes.  It is best to use companies such as Constant Contact: http://constantcontact.com

Using a proper bulk mail provider is better as they maintain proper relationships with providers as well as grant you better control over how mail is distributed to your customers.

Bulk mail by the hundreds per hour is not allowed as it will not only cause issues such as getting quickly blacklisted at many locations, but also banned from our network.    Parcom is strictly a secure and professional place for professional developers and companies to utilize.   By not allowing people to essentially send thousands of unsolicited emails that may not be your customer, Parcom maintains a higher standard than any other hosting company by far.

We monitor excessive use and are very serious about our anti-spam, anti-bulk mail, anti-opt-in, whatever it is, it is spam.  So if you have a mailing list that is legitimate and is going to let's say 200 customers, then you are fine.  Anything more and you can legitimately say you have 1000 customers, then you can afford a bulk mailing list service!   That's obvious.   We know when folks try to "trickle" mail by sending 5 at a time, it's not going to really help you - it actually hurts you as it triggers security systems like crazy at Parcom.   This is to help us catch spammers who LOVE to send mail ever so slowly.   The slower they send, the more likely it is spam.  The faster they try to send hundreds an hour the more likely it is spam too.  We know how it works.  Bulk is considered spam by half the world.

In short, it is better not to spam your customers without a proper provider.  Even we use Constant Contact.  It's better, it's professional, and you don't blacklist yourself.    And, you initiate proper subscription abilities too.
